The T-shaped profile provides a practical geometric solution for building structures, adding reinforcement and creating clean, angular details in scale modelling. Made from ABS plastic, this Plasticard profile combines a consistent manufactured shape with a material that is easy to cut and work for construction and conversion projects.
Measuring 4 × 4 mm in section and 25 cm (250 mm) in length, the profile can serve as a structural component or be incorporated into more complex assemblies. Its T-shaped cross-section is particularly useful for creating supports, edges, reinforcing elements and other geometric details. It can also be combined with Plasticard sheets and other profiles to build custom structures and volumes.
ABS offers a useful balance of strength and workability. As a thermoplastic material, it can also be reshaped with a suitable heat source when a project requires the profile to follow a different form.
For bonding, cyanoacrylate adhesive is recommended for ABS. White PVA glue can also be used, although it requires a longer drying time. This makes the profile a versatile material for scratch-building and modelling projects where clean geometry and consistent dimensions are important.
