For clean lines, reinforcement and precise detailing, this solid ABS round rod provides a versatile material for scale modelling and scratch-building projects. Commonly known as Plasticard, ABS plastic is widely used by modellers thanks to its combination of durability, strength and ease of working.

Measuring 2.5 mm in diameter and 25 cm (250 mm) in length, this solid round profile can be used to reproduce or construct a wide range of cylindrical details. It can be cut into shorter sections or incorporated into more complex assemblies alongside other Plasticard sheets and profiles.

ABS offers a useful balance of mechanical strength and workability. As a thermoplastic material, it can also be reshaped when exposed to a suitable heat source, allowing the straight profile to be adapted for projects requiring curved or modified forms.

For assembly, cyanoacrylate adhesive is recommended for ABS plastic. White PVA glue can also be used, although it requires a longer drying time. Whether used for scratch-building, modifying existing models or adding small-scale cylindrical details, this profile provides a precise and durable material for a wide range of modelling applications.
