At just 0.25 mm thick and 2 mm wide, this uPVC profile provides a remarkably fine way to add clean, defined strips and lines without creating unnecessary bulk. Its slim construction makes it particularly useful for detailing models, scenery and vehicles, as well as for scratch-building projects that require consistent, precisely shaped elements.
Made from uPVC (unplasticised polyvinyl chloride), this Plasticard combines durability with easy handling. The profile can be readily cut and sanded to achieve the required length or shape, while its consistent dimensions make it suitable for creating clean assemblies and repeated details.
The material can be used across a wide range of modelling applications, from scale model construction and slot car conversions to fantasy and military modelling and scratch-building. It can be painted with modelling paints and offers good resistance to degradation and wear both indoors and outdoors. It is also resistant to acetone.
For assembly, cyanoacrylate adhesives and specialist plastic glues such as Plastic Skull Glue can be used. Each pack contains 10 profiles measuring 250 mm, providing a useful supply of material for detailing, construction and conversion work.
