Hulky Green Dip

The marker uses a size 2 nib, providing a practical combination of coverage and control across different parts of a miniature. Because the paint is applied directly from the marker, there is no need for a wet palette, brush or additional container. This streamlined approach can be particularly useful when moving through several miniatures as part of a larger wargaming army.

For the strongest contrast, use Hulky Green Dip over a white or light-coloured primer. It can also be incorporated into a Slapchop workflow. By first establishing highlights and shadows with black, grey and white, the underlying value structure remains visible through the translucent Dipping Ink and contributes to greater contrast and definition once the colour is applied.

Before starting, shake the marker thoroughly to distribute the paint. Apply it directly to the miniature and spread it evenly, avoiding excessive brushing over areas that have already started to dry. The size 2 nib is suited to general coverage, while a separately available size 1 replacement nib can be used where smaller areas require greater precision.

Hulky Green Dip is also part of a reusable and refillable marker system. Once the original paint has been consumed, the marker can be cleaned and filled again with Dipping Ink, airbrush paint or another acrylic paint with a suitable consistency. Thicker formulations can be adjusted with acrylic thinner. Replacement kits containing nibs and internal components are available to restore the marker and extend its use.
