Ork Flesh Dip offers a direct way to build contrast across miniature surfaces without reaching for a brush. This ready-to-use Green Stuff World marker contains Dipping Ink with a fluid, translucent consistency. As it is applied, the paint naturally gathers in recesses while remaining lighter on raised areas, helping establish shadows, highlights and depth in a single coat.
A size 2 nib provides a useful balance between coverage and control. The marker can be applied directly to different parts of a miniature, removing the need for a wet palette, brush or additional container. This makes the format convenient for progressing efficiently through individual models as well as larger wargaming armies.
The surface underneath the colour determines how the contrast develops. For a pronounced effect, apply Ork Flesh Dip over a white or light-coloured primer. It can also be used as part of a Slapchop workflow: first establish the main highlights and shadows with black, grey and white, then apply the translucent Dipping Ink. The underlying value variations remain visible through the colour, increasing the overall contrast and definition of the miniature.
For consistent application, shake the marker well before use. Apply the paint directly to the model and distribute it evenly, avoiding repeated work on areas that have already started to dry. The size 2 nib is suitable for general coverage, while a separately available size 1 replacement nib can be fitted when working on smaller areas that require greater precision.
Once the original paint has been used, the marker can continue to serve as part of a reusable painting setup. Clean and refill it with a suitable acrylic paint, including Dipping Ink or airbrush paint. Other acrylic formulations can also be used when their consistency is appropriate, while thicker paints can be adjusted with acrylic thinner. Replacement kits containing nibs and internal components are available to help restore the marker for further use.
