Amberglow Dip

There is no need to prepare a separate painting station for the application: the paint is applied directly from the marker. The size 2 nib offers a balance between coverage and control, making it suitable for working across different areas of a miniature. The format can be especially useful when several models need to be painted efficiently for a wargaming army.

The colour can be applied over a white or light-coloured primer to maximise the contrast effect. Ambergow Dip is also compatible with a Slapchop preparation. Establish the miniature’s highlights and shadows beforehand using black, grey and white, then apply the translucent Dipping Ink. The underlying value variations remain visible through the colour, contributing to greater contrast and clearer definition across the model.

For a consistent application, shake the marker thoroughly before use. Apply the paint directly to the miniature and distribute it evenly, avoiding excessive reworking once an area has begun to dry. The size 2 nib is suited to general surfaces, while the separately available size 1 replacement nib can be fitted when smaller areas or finer details require additional control.

Its usefulness does not end when the original paint is gone. The marker can be cleaned, refilled and reused with Dipping Ink, airbrush paints or other acrylic paints with a suitable consistency. Thicker paints can be adjusted with acrylic thinner when necessary. Replacement kits containing nibs and internal components are also available, allowing the marker to be maintained and used again with new colours, mixes or effects.
