Dusty Blue Dip

The marker can be incorporated into different preparation methods. Applied over a white or light-coloured primer, the translucent paint allows the underlying changes in value to remain visible. It can also be used as part of a Slapchop workflow, where black, grey and white are first used to establish highlights and shadows. The Dipping Ink then adds colour while allowing those previously established values to contribute to the final contrast.

A size 2 nib delivers the paint directly onto the miniature, providing a balance between coverage and control. This means there is no need for a brush, wet palette or separate container during application. For smaller areas or details that require greater precision, the size 2 nib can be exchanged for a separately available size 1 replacement nib.

For consistent results, shake the marker thoroughly before use. Apply the paint directly to the surface and distribute it evenly. Avoid repeatedly working over areas where the paint has already begun to dry, helping to maintain the intended distribution of the Dipping Ink.

Dusty Blue Dip is also designed to become part of a reusable marker system. Once the original contents have been used, the marker can be cleaned and refilled with new paints. It can accept Dipping Ink, airbrush paints and other acrylic paints with a suitable fluidity. Thicker paints can be adjusted with acrylic thinner when required. Replacement kits containing nibs and internal components are also available for renewing the marker and extending its service life.
