Dipping Ink Marker Pack - Warm Tones

Each marker comes with a No. 2 nib, balancing coverage and control for painting around 90% of a miniature, as well as larger surfaces such as terrain and scenery. The marker format lets you apply the ink directly, without needing a brush, wet palette or extra containers. It is a convenient way to work through squads and armies with less setup between colours.

For the best contrast effect, apply the ink over a white or light-coloured primer. These markers also work well over a Slapchop-style zenithal preparation, where black, grey and white are used to establish shadows and highlights before colour is applied. Before painting, prime the marker by pumping the nib until it is fully saturated. Apply the ink evenly and avoid repeatedly working over areas that have already begun to dry.

For finer details, the No. 2 nib can be replaced with a separately sold No. 1 replacement nib. The markers are also refillable and reusable. Refill them with Dipping Ink of the same colour when empty. To switch to another colour, clean the marker thoroughly and fit a new nib before refilling it. Thicker paints can be adjusted with a suitable acrylic thinner to achieve the required flow.
