SKULL LINEN DIP provides a quick way to bring definition to a miniature while allowing the preparation underneath the colour to remain part of the final result. This ready-to-use Green Stuff World marker contains fluid, translucent Dipping Ink. Its behaviour naturally emphasises the sculpt: paint gathers more strongly in recesses while raised areas remain lighter, producing shadows, highlights and depth with a single application.
The paint is applied directly through the size 2 marker nib, offering a practical balance between coverage and control. The marker format also removes several preparation steps from the process, since no brush, wet palette or additional container is required for application. This makes it possible to move efficiently across a model and maintain a consistent approach when painting several miniatures.
For a pronounced contrast effect, start with a white or light-coloured primer. SKULL LINEN DIP can also be applied over a Slapchop-style grisaille, using black, grey and white beforehand to establish the main highlights and shadows. Because the Dipping Ink is translucent, these underlying value changes remain visible through the colour, helping reinforce the contrast and definition already established on the miniature.
Shake the marker thoroughly before use, then apply the paint directly to the surface and distribute it evenly. Avoid excessive reworking once an area has started to dry. The size 2 nib can be replaced with a separately available size 1 replacement nib when smaller areas or finer details require greater control.
After the original 6.5 ml of paint has been used, the marker can be cleaned and reused rather than discarded. It can be refilled with Dipping Ink, airbrush paints or other acrylic paints with a suitable consistency. Thicker paints can be adjusted with acrylic thinner to achieve the necessary flow. Replacement kits containing nibs and internal components are also available, allowing the marker to be maintained and reused for new colours, custom mixes and modelling effects.
