Twilight Kin

While the elves are widely regarded as one of the noblest races in Pannithor, the Twilight Kin deviate significantly from this perception. Despite sharing a common history, the Twilight Kin have evolved a distinct culture and combat style that sets them apart from other elven kindreds.

The shattering of the Fenulian Mirror had cataclysmic consequences, transforming the elven city of Ileureleith into a desolate wasteland and releasing the dreaded Void upon the land. The ruins of this once-great city, now known as the 'Pit of Despair,' inexplicably drew elves from across Elvenholme.

In the midst of this desolation, Leithindyr, the Daughter of Leith, emerged as a beacon of purpose for her despairing kin. Under her guidance, the elves claimed the Pit of Despair as their legacy, determined to rebuild Ileureleith using the dark magic of thaumaturgy—an occult sorcery that Leithindyr practiced.

Through arcane rites and thaumaturgic knowledge, Leithindyr encountered the Void and an ancient entity named the Voidspawn. The creature revealed to Leithindyr the possibility of leaving Pannithor and venturing into the Void—a dimension existing beyond the confines of time and space.

The Twilight Kin envisioned constructing ships capable of navigating the Void's dimensional waves to embark on this unprecedented journey. In the eerie shipyards beneath the surface, a sinister fleet named Nightships took form, crafted with a blend of magic and meticulous craftsmanship.

Upon their return from the underworld, Nightships often brought back creatures from the Void that fed on terror, tormenting crews and proving challenging to eliminate once in the mortal realm. This marked the inception of the Nightstalkers among the Twilight Kin.

Initially uncontrollable and indiscriminate in their attacks, the Nightstalkers posed a threat to the Twilight Kin. However, a breakthrough occurred when an elf agent returned from the swamp-jungles of Mughaal, bearing ancient tablets found in an age-old temple. Despite years of deciphering, the Twilight Kin eventually unlocked the tablets' secrets, gaining the power to command the dwellers in the Void.
