The Kingdom of Bretonnia, a nation of legendary knights and nobles, embodies the quintessential chivalric ideal in the world of The Old World. Nestled in the heart of vast rolling expanses and rich farmland, Bretonnia is governed by a strict code of chivalric values and feudalism, where honour, loyalty and courage are celebrated as the supreme virtues. Its feudal lords, known as Grand Dukes, rule their domains with an iron fist, protecting the people from external threats while devoting themselves to the pursuit of glory and renown on the battlefield.

The knights of Bretonnia, mounted on noble steeds and clad in polished armour, are the backbone of the kingdom's military might. Trained from an early age in the art of war and horsemanship, these intrepid horsemen are ready to answer their lord's call at a moment's notice, ready to charge against the kingdom's enemies with unfailing bravery and unwavering determination. However, despite their dazzling splendour and rigid code of honour, the foundations of Bretonnia are far from perfect. Feudal divisions and rivalries between lords, combined with the growing threats of barbarian hordes, raiders and even the dark machinations of the forces of the kingdoms, have led to the emergence of a new order.
