Deep Shades
Deep Shades are designed for quick and easy shading of small-scale miniatures, while maintaining a matt finish. They make it easy to paint miniature armies efficiently, allowing you to work in three simple steps: Base-Deep Shade-Light. Formulated with micro-dispersed pigments (less than one micron) in pure acrylic resins, they lightly tint volumes and accentuate the contrast of shadows where the product accumulates.

The product has a perfect balance between fluidity and viscosity, the latter being higher than that of enamel washes to facilitate pigment retention in folds and nooks, an essential issue when working on figures that usually remain in an upright position. They offer perfect adhesion and resistance, with a special formula that prevents bubbles. Once dry, they won't reactivate with water or their own medium. It is advisable not to wet the areas of application so as not to slow down the drying time. It is advisable to apply two light coats if you wish to deepen the effect. Use your own medium (AK13010) if you need more transparency or want to reduce contrast.
