A flocking machine is a box-shaped tool designed to create tufts of grass and bushes. This versatile device can be used to apply realistic flocking to scale models, wargame figures and many other surfaces: scrapbooking, jewellery boxes, toys, plastic trees, etc.
Unlike portable tools, the grass fibres stay inside the box, preventing them from spreading around the room. The object to be flocked must be placed inside the electrostatic applicator, which uses an electrical charge to attract the fibres to a metal surface of opposite polarity.
For best results, we recommend using Green Stuff World's high quality static grass, specially designed for electrical conductivity. Using low-quality or very dry fibres may compromise the machine's performance.
The choice of adhesive depends on the surface, the fibres and the properties of the adhesive. Water-based glues are ideal for their ease of use and solubility. Green Stuff World's flocking glue is specially formulated for this purpose, offering precise application with no waste.
The Green Stuff World flocking machine uses a 9V battery (not included) to generate a static charge. This current aligns the grass fibres vertically on the base surface, giving a realistic 3D touch to your plinths, figurines or dioramas. The device is cordless, compact and easy to use.
Steps to use :
The machine can also be used for other creative projects, such as adding textures to figurines, miniature trees, or applying flocking to paper and other flat materials.
