Posthumans are said to represent the next evolutionary stage of humanity. Living in cyberspace, they have the ability to download themselves into artificial bodies in order to interact on the physical plane. Naturally, they have the best Lhosts - state-of-the-art biosynthetic bodies - on the market. Transforming into a Posthuman is ALEPH's greatest reward. Only those with a proven track record or who are deemed particularly useful to ALEPH can achieve this status. As inhabitants of cyberspace, their immortality is assured. Even if their body dies and their cube is destroyed, a back-up is always stored somewhere on the net.

ALEPH's most eminent and reliable collaborate with the Special Situations Section. Each Posthuman is the equivalent of a single team, or rather, a single mind. A Posthuman can deploy several corps in an operational zone and jump from one to another, working in perfect synergy to accomplish any mission. The best Posthumans are able to switch from one body to another so quickly that they appear to occupy both simultaneously. Their minds, capable of processing data at incredible speed, enable them to absorb more information from a variety of sources than any ordinary human being. They understand every situation and act with uncommon speed and determination.

Posthumans excel in military activities requiring great initiative, dedication and capacity. Thanks to their special skills, they can adopt any operational profile, moving effortlessly from one body, equipment or weapons load to another. They are just as capable of infiltrating enemy territory as they are of carrying out front-line attacks or playing a mobile support role in emergency situations. Whatever the mission, their tactical approach is based on rapid, decisive offensives.

Aware of their superiority, Posthumans display an undeniable arrogance and pride. They see themselves as almost divine creatures, forged by war and ready to conquer the universe.
