Many Super Mutants favor smashing their targets into paste rather than relying on the relative safety of ranged attacks. Their fists can crush anything from materials and armor to skulls. Planks of wood, twisted pipes, and rusted tools are all favorites, as long as the food is thoroughly subdued and stops moving, they are content and delighted.
