In the early days of Retribution, homes were built by the very people who intended to live in them. Settlers shaped their own environment, constructing modest houses from whatever materials they could gather, slowly forming a frontier town defined by practicality and survival.
As the settlement grew, experienced building crews emerged—tradesmen who had learned their craft by constructing their own homes. They turned that knowledge into a livelihood, erecting houses and businesses for new arrivals seeking opportunity in the expanding frontier.
Now, Retribution has entered a third stage of development. Advances in engineering have introduced prefabricated construction, with walls and roofing components manufactured in facilities such as the Pipeworks before being transported by rail into town. On arrival, work crews assemble these ready-made structures in record time, accelerating the transformation of the settlement.
The Retribution – Residence terrain piece represents this pivotal moment of change, where frontier craftsmanship meets industrial efficiency. It provides a characterful civilian building that reflects the evolving identity of a town on the path toward becoming a true city.
Ideal for western skirmish games, narrative campaigns, or historical settings, this residence can function as a civilian home, a mission objective, or part of a growing frontier street. It helps portray both the humble origins and the rapid expansion of Retribution.
Supplied in MDF, the kit requires assembly and priming before painting. Once completed, it becomes a key piece for illustrating the rapid evolution of Retribution from frontier settlement to emerging city.
