Clear surfaces, shattered windows and sheets of ice all begin with the same material. This transparent organic glass sheet is a versatile thermoplastic material for scale modelling, scenery and diorama projects. Measuring 200 x 300 mm with a thickness of 0.5 mm, it provides a practical way to introduce realistic transparent elements into miniature scenes.

Its optical clarity makes it particularly useful for creating windows and glass panels. The sheet can be cut with a modelling knife or other suitable cutting tools, allowing you to produce pieces in the exact shapes required by your project. It can also be carefully fractured to create larger fragments that can be used as broken glass. The material is softer than real glass and produces larger, less sharp pieces, although fragments should still be handled with care.

Broken pieces can add considerable character to a damaged building or battle scene. Scatter them around a shattered window, place them among rubble or use them to suggest the aftermath of an explosion or other destructive event. The transparent material catches the light naturally, helping these small details stand out without overpowering the rest of the model.

The sheet also offers a completely different application for ice effects. Cut and positioned over rivers, lakes or frozen terrain, it can represent thin layers of ice or translucent frozen surfaces. Adding LED lighting behind the material can further enhance the effect, creating a visible glow that suggests light passing through ice.

  • Transparent thermoplastic: suitable for realistic glass and window effects.
  • Broken glass effects: can be cut or carefully fractured into pieces for damaged scenery.
  • Ice effects: useful for frozen water, lakes, rivers and winter landscapes.
  • Versatile modelling material: can be incorporated into projects using plastic, wood or metal.
  • Lighting effects: transparency allows the material to be backlit for atmospheric results.

Technical specifications:
