Proper weight distribution can make a significant difference to the stability of a miniature or scale model, and these compact steel counterweights provide a precise way to add ballast where it is needed. Measuring just 8 mm in diameter and 2 mm thick, the discs can be discreetly installed beneath miniature bases or inside models where available space is limited.

The discs can be used individually or stacked and combined to gradually increase the amount of ballast. Their small circular format also makes it possible to distribute weight precisely instead of relying on a single large counterweight. This is particularly useful for gaming miniatures with an offset centre of gravity caused by large weapons, wings, banners or tall silhouettes, helping to increase stability without changing the model's external appearance.

These counterweights are equally useful beyond tabletop miniatures. They can be placed inside aircraft, military vehicles, tanks, boats, model trains, slot cars, dioramas, scenery and 3D-printed models to correct an imbalance, improve stability or simply give a lightweight model a more substantial feel when handled.

For permanent installation, the steel discs can be secured with cyanoacrylate (CA/super glue) or epoxy adhesive. Their compact dimensions make them easy to incorporate into a wide variety of modelling projects while keeping the added ballast discreet.
