Paint Stripper, also known as GSW Paint Killer, is a powerful and effective product designed to remove acrylic paints, enamels and varnishes from a variety of surfaces, including plastic, resin and metal miniatures. This stripper is completely safe for miniatures and will not damage or weaken them, provided it is used correctly. To avoid any problems, it is advisable to test the product on a small area for a short period of time, from 30 minutes to an hour, to assess the resistance of the material. It's also reusable, has a low evaporation rate and low odour, making it practical for any workspace.
To use GSW Paint Killer, partially immerse your miniature in the solution for between one and six hours, depending on the type of paint to be removed. Then rinse the miniature with water and use a synthetic brush to remove any excess paint remover. If any colour residue remains after the first treatment, repeat the process until the miniature is completely free of paint and the desired cleanliness has been achieved.
The product is supplied in a handy 240ml bottle, which is generally sufficient for most projects. However, note that although it has been tested on a variety of plastics, metals and resins, new formulations and types of these materials continue to emerge on the market.
