Polish Army Weapons Teams

Like other nations, Poland took valuable lessons from World War I and incorporated 46mm light mortars into its infantry companies to provide effective close fire support. The Polish Army didn’t field dedicated sniper units, but top marksmen within each company were assigned the role of sharpshooter. The wz.35 anti-tank rifle was particularly unique. Instead of penetrating armor with solid tungsten rounds like other countries' rifles, it used standard lead-core, steel-jacketed rounds to create deadly internal spalling—lethal to vehicle crews even without piercing the hull.
