Through this link, they are believed to disgorge Nightstalker entities directly from that distorted realm onto the battlefield, acting as living conduits for invasion. Their mournful voices can reportedly be heard over great distances, with witnesses describing subsequent effects such as intrusive visions and growing paranoia tied to impending horrors.
