Founded and organised under Shaka Zulu, the Zulu military system is based on strict regimental training, where companies train together and can form regiments numbering up to 1,000 warriors. These units are then grouped into larger divisions capable of rapid and highly coordinated manoeuvres, including the famous “Buffalo Horns” formation used to encircle and overwhelm the enemy.

Zulu warriors are equipped for close combat dominance, carrying a mix of throwing weapons, early firearms, and deadly stabbing spears. Their distinctive ox-hide shields identify regimental affiliation and play a key role in battlefield organisation. This set allows players to recreate the dynamic and highly asymmetrical warfare of the colonial era in Southern Africa.
