A brief stop in the city of Myskham is enough to turn an ordinary journey into something deeply unsettling. Inside the bar known as “The Elder Sign”, the air feels heavy with half-heard whispers, while patrons exchange furtive glances over clinking glasses. Conversations remain low, fragmented, and strangely directionless, as though no one is ever quite saying what they mean.
Stranded after a car breakdown on the outskirts of town, Roger Prendergast begins to notice that everything in Myskham feels slightly out of place. Modern buildings show signs of premature decay, public services appear abandoned, and the city itself seems to function without clear purpose or presence.
The deserted fire station, the empty news kiosk, the subway station exhaling a cold, unnatural draft… each location adds to a growing sense that something is wrong beneath the surface. At the center of it all, The Elder Sign stands as a focal point where these unsettling impressions seem to converge.
This Myskham Urban Set terrain collection recreates that oppressive atmosphere for narrative, horror, or investigative tabletop games. It allows players to build a coherent yet deeply uneasy urban environment, perfect for scenarios where reality feels slightly unstable and nothing is quite as it should be.
Supplied in MDF, the components require assembly and priming before painting. Once completed, the set creates a convincing urban landscape filled with narrative tension and an underlying sense of unease.
