Hougoumont Scenery Pack

Designed for the Black Powder – Epic Battles: Waterloo system, this scenery set features the fortified farmhouse of Hougoumont, a key defensive position held by the Duke of Wellington’s allied forces during the battle of 18 June 1815.

The importance of Hougoumont was recognised immediately by both armies. Wellington stationed elite troops there to secure his right flank, while the French made repeated attempts to seize the complex. Fierce fighting around the château and its walls raged for hours throughout the day.

The defence of Hougoumont is now regarded as one of the decisive episodes of the Battle of Waterloo, tying down significant French forces away from the main Allied line.
