Zulu Impi Brigade

Zulu society distinguished between regiments of married and unmarried warriors, with younger men required to prove themselves in battle before earning the right to wear the traditional head ring that marked full adult status. Armed with throwing spears, short stabbing spears, smoothbore muskets and distinctive ox-hide shields, these regiments combined striking battlefield presence with impressive tactical flexibility.

This expansion is an excellent way to increase the size of your Zulu force for larger historical engagements or to strengthen an existing collection. The additional large units allow you to recreate the sweeping attacks and massed formations that defined the Anglo-Zulu War of 1879.
