Armoured figures are suited to representing better-equipped thegns, while unarmoured fighters can portray the wider ranks of Saxon warriors carrying large shields, helmets, spears, swords and seaxes. Additional hand axes can also be incorporated from the Viking range for even greater variety.

The command frames expand the narrative possibilities of the force, including a monk and armoured warriors who can serve as leaders, standard bearers or elite Anglo-Danish huscarls equipped with powerful two-handed Danish axes.
