A Novel of Astra Militarum
Cadia, a proud world that has held out fiercely for centuries, standing as an unshakeable bulwark against the chaotic forces housed in the Eye of Terror. But all that changed when Abaddon the Scourge decided to wipe it out as part of his Thirteenth Black Crusade.
WHY READ THIS BOOK
The Fall of Cadia represents a key moment in the Warhammer 40,000 timeline. This epic battle led to the opening of the Great Rift, marking the beginning of a new era in which the Imperium must face the most formidable perils in its history.
THE STORY
Cadia is trying to heal its wounds in the aftermath of the Thirteenth Black Crusade, with heretical forces retreating on all sides. Victory seems assured, but Lord Castellan Creed has a dark premonition. He sensed that the assault was merely a prelude to something more sinister, something more decisive.
And he was right.
Abaddon the Scourge emerged from the Eye of Terror at the head of an army on a scale unseen since the dark days of the Horus Heresy. Faced with the impending apocalypse, Creed must transform the champions of Cadia into a bulwark capable of withstanding the fury of Abaddon.
Written by Robert Rath.
