Having neither the mental capacity to join the Directorate nor the beauty to serve the Lineages directly as servants, the vast majority of decanted clones end up in the ranks of the Bonded, the professional forces that each Sovereign Lineage maintains in reserve. Clothed, fed, equipped and trained at the expense of the Lineage, these soldiers are kept in reserve for tasks that require a fully conscious mind and cannot be entrusted to a servile drone. This is not to suggest that their lives are more valuable to their masters, but rather that their masters expect a return on the investment in their continued existence.

Hundreds of cycles have been spent simplifying and streamlining the Forced Growth strains, allowing Management to create a creature perfectly suited to the needs of the Bloodlines. After all, Forced Growth Drones aren't meant to fight for their masters. They're meant to die at their convenience.
