City States - 2025 Supercharged Starter Set

A starter set for one player, ready to play a game of First Blood or The Last Argument of Kings. This City States set includes a complete unit of 12 Thorakites, Clockwork Hoplites and Hoplites, plus the Mechanist and 3 Inquisitors. Each Starter Set provides a well-balanced army for First Blood and is also an excellent base for playing The Last Argument of Kings.

The set includes a quick start guide for First Blood II and TLAOK II, all assembly instructions, a detailed guide to the Conquest path, a set of 12 dice and a measuring tool, a paper EA map and all the necessary command cards, bases and stands. An excellent offer for players, with a substantial discount compared with buying the items separately.

The City States forces are based on a solid core of trained and disciplined soldiers, supported by imposing Minotaurs, giant spellcasters and mechanically enhanced veteran warriors. Although they have little ranged support and only one cavalry option, their varied infantry, formations and special rules make them one of the most effective infantry forces in the game.

When playing with City States, it's essential to protect vulnerable flanks and engage the infantry line quickly. Once in combat, their unique strategic stacking mechanism means that you can sacrifice an activation on one front to link up two activations on another. Finally, you can adjust the defensive or offensive strength of your formations by adding Minotaurs.
