British Highlanders & Riflemen

Wellington’s multinational army featured a colourful variety of troop types, none more exotic-looking than the famous Highland regiments in their distinctive kilts and uniforms.

This boxed set allows players to field all three Highland regiments present at Waterloo: the 42nd Black Watch, the 79th Cameron Highlanders, and the 92nd Gordon Highlanders. Veterans of the Peninsular War, these tough and disciplined troops fought with distinction at Quatre Bras and Waterloo.

The legendary Rifle Brigade is also included, featuring skirmishing troops of the 95th Rifles in their trademark dark green uniforms. Armed with the accurate Baker rifle, they were deeply feared by the French army. Some famously fought around La Haye Sainte during the desperate defence of the farmhouse.

Supporting the infantry are Royal Artillery 5.5-inch howitzers, capable of delivering devastating bombardments over the heads of Allied troops and onto advancing French formations.
