Soviet Naval Brigade Medium Mortar Team

During the Second World War, Soviet Naval Brigades fought as determined frontline infantry while retaining access to a wide range of support weapons. Among the most valuable was the medium mortar, a battlefield staple capable of delivering accurate indirect fire against concealed or concentrated enemy formations. Operated by experienced naval personnel, these weapons played a vital role in supporting Soviet offensives.
