Beyond the settled regions of Hyberia lie the windswept lands where the nomadic Urmeck establish their camps. Maladum: Ur’ghaal Badlands recreates this harsh environment with 210 pieces of scenery, combining dwellings, tents, watchtowers, fortifications and a large selection of smaller details. Its rugged appearance also makes it suitable for many fantasy settings featuring raiders, orcs, goblins and other primitive factions.
The settlement is centred around a large two-storey roundhouse, supported by three wooden dwellings and four canvas tents. A Skyperch watchtower provides a prominent vantage point, complete with an alert brazier, adding both height and character to the battlefield.
The camp can be enclosed by a defensive stockade consisting of four wall sections, two towers and a gate. Awning pieces, fences and barricades give you additional ways to divide the settlement, establish defensive areas and create narrow routes between its structures.
The scenery also features detailed interiors. Removable roofs provide access to the buildings, while 37 furniture pieces and 137 assorted accessories can be distributed throughout the settlement. This allows you to customise both the interiors and surrounding areas according to the layout of your gaming table.
The set combines Ur’ghaal Roundhouse, Ur’ghaal Dwellings, Ur’ghaal Skyperch and Ur’ghaal Stockade, along with additional scenery pieces. Everything is supplied flat-packed and pre-printed in colour, meaning no painting is required. Assembly is necessary, and some smaller components will require glue.
With its tribal structures, improvised defences and extensive collection of accessories, Ur’ghaal Badlands provides a complete and flexible camp setting for Maladum and other 25–35 mm miniature games.
