The Kolinsky Green Stuff World range of brushes, SILVER SERIES, is handmade with a high quality wooden handle and a natural Kolinsky bristle tip, secured by a brass ferrule. Whether you're an amateur or an expert, the Kolinsky SILVER SERIES range of brushes will give you a fluid and precise painting experience.
They are recommended for traditional painting, particularly fine techniques such as watercolour or glazing. With acrylic paint, their main uses include washes, enamels, inks and gradients, usually diluted. They are not recommended for stippling or dry brush techniques, as this can damage the tips.
The natural bristles guarantee high absorption of water and paint, as well as excellent elasticity, making these brushes highly technical tools.
Because of their nature, natural hair brushes require more care than synthetic brushes, as deterioration leads to loss of shape. To prolong their life, sharpen the bristles after use with our Brush Repair Gel (LINK) and avoid leaving dry paint chips between the bristles. After use, leave them to dry in an upright position to avoid deforming the tips.
It is also not recommended to use a Kolinsky brush for oil painting, as the products used for this type of painting are not compatible with Kolinsky brushes.
