Range of Kolinsky Green Stuff World brushes, GOLD SERIES. Handcrafted with a high-quality wooden handle and brass ferrule, only the finest Siberian Kolinsky bristles are used to create the Gold Series brushes, guaranteeing top-of-the-range brushes of the highest quality. They are distinguished from the medium-quality Silver Series by their greater paint-holding capacity, extended autonomy and ability to produce very fine lines.
They are recommended for traditional painting, particularly fine techniques such as watercolour or glazing. When used with acrylic paint, their main uses include washes, enamels, inks and shading, usually diluted. They are not recommended for stippling or dry brush techniques, as this can damage the tips.
The natural bristles guarantee high absorption of water and paint, as well as excellent elasticity, making these brushes highly technical tools.
Because of their nature, brushes with natural bristles require more care than brushes with synthetic bristles, as deterioration leads to loss of shape. To prolong their life, refine the bristles after use with our Brush Repair Gel (LINK) and avoid letting paint residue dry between the bristles. After use, leave them to dry in an upright position to avoid deforming the tips.
It is also not recommended to use a Kolinsky brush for oil painting, as the products used for this paint deteriorate the bristles more quickly.
