The Type 6 Ke-Ho Kei-Hokousensha, nicknamed the “Sasori” (Scorpion) by its crews, takes clear design cues from the German Spinne. It combines speed and agility with a lower profile and quiet engine, making it an outstanding reconnaissance vehicle.
Early versions were armed only with dual MMGs for anti-infantry defense. However, upgraded engines allowed later models to support a third crew member and a rear-mounted heavy weapon.
This mount can equip either a light anti-tank gun or a rapid-firing light compression cannon, significantly enhancing the Sasori’s battlefield utility. With ongoing technological collaboration with Germany, further walker innovations are likely on the horizon.
