Granted access to the wealth of German Rift-tech advancements, Japanese scientists achieved major breakthroughs in multiple fields. One such area was the development of military exoskeletons designed to enhance a soldier’s endurance, speed, and combat load capacity.
The result was the deployment of Battleframes (Sentou-Gaikokkaku) by the Imperial Japanese Army in mid-1946. These combat exoskeletons allow soldiers to carry heavier equipment and wear protective armour, all while retaining high mobility.
Typically equipped with either a submachine gun or a rapid-firing compression rifle, most Battleframe squads also include a couple of light machine guns and arm-mounted grenade launchers for extra firepower.
