'Der Erntemann' Oberstarzt Albrecht von Zögling

On 12 March 1944, the bomb falls on Dresden, and von Zögling’s ambitions reach their peak. Approximately half a million dead now wander the ruins, providing an almost endless source of Rift Energy. The secrets of the Rift allow him to reanimate the dead on an unprecedented scale, and he soon develops a serum to replace the crude power packs initially used. Injected directly into a corpse, it restores movement within seconds, creating Totenkorps that can be deployed instantly and with terrifying efficiency.

Unlike many of his apprentices, von Zögling does not observe his creations from afar. He frequently stalks battlefields to find prime material for further experiments and hones his understanding of human injuries. A skilled marksman and proficient with blades, he sometimes personally leads his Totenrotte in combat, wearing a custom battle harness containing medical equipment and a supply of serum to reinforce his Totenkorps legions on the fly.
