This set allows you to build a versatile European mercenary infantry force from 1450-1500. The box provides enough components to create up to 12 crossbowmen with pavises, 12 pistol-armed troops and 18 pikemen, with 12 of the pikemen able to be converted into hand weapon troops. Four command miniatures are also included to lead your force.

The crossbowmen represent experienced ranged specialists protected by large pavises, a distinctive feature of late medieval warfare. The pistol troops showcase the increasing presence of early firearms on European battlefields, adding a different tactical option to traditional infantry formations.

The pikemen form the backbone of many mercenary armies, using their long weapons to control the battlefield and defend against enemy advances. With additional conversion possibilities, they can also be adapted into other close-combat infantry roles.

Offering a broad selection of troop types in one box, this set provides the flexibility needed to create varied mercenary contingents inspired by the professional armies that fought across Europe during the late 15th century.
