During the late Middle Ages, Mounted Men-at-Arms formed the elite of European armies. Protected by heavy armour and riding into battle on powerful warhorses, these warriors represented the prestige, wealth and battlefield strength of medieval nobility.
This box contains 12 mounted men-at-arms from 1450-1500, designed to represent heavy cavalry from a wide range of European armies. Their equipment options make them suitable for many historical forces of the late 15th century, from English and French armies to other Western European contingents.
The set provides extensive customisation possibilities. The horses feature separate barding options for adding armoured mounts where required, along with 7 different horse head designs and 25 horse head options in total, allowing you to create a varied cavalry force.
The riders themselves include a wide selection of components, with 14 right arm options and 12 head options for 4 riders. These choices allow you to build individual warriors, commanders and noble cavalrymen with distinctive appearances.
A broad selection of medieval weapons is included, featuring lances, swords, maces, war hammers, axes and banner poles or standards. This variety makes it possible to represent different battlefield roles and create a visually impressive mounted force.
