Ultramar Blue 1 (12ML)

Tone Pro paints are characterised by intense colours and strong one-coat coverage, including colours that can traditionally be more difficult to apply. Ultramar Blue 1 can be worked straight from the pot, while its self-levelling properties help maintain an even and consistent finish across the miniature.

Each Tone Pro colour is divided into five shades, numbered from 1 as the darkest to 5 as the lightest. As the first stage, Ultramar Blue 1 can be used as the main colour when a deeper blue is required, or as the foundation for a complete progression through Shades 2, 3, 4 and 5. This structure makes it possible to increase brightness gradually while keeping the colour family consistent.

There is also no need to limit the paint to a single technique. Ultramar Blue 1 can be used for:

• Basecoating to establish an even layer of colour
• Shading to reinforce the deepest areas
• Glazing to create gradual colour variation
• Highlighting selected raised forms
• Drybrushing to reveal texture and sculpted relief

As the darkest point of the Ultramar Blue sequence, Ultramar Blue 1 gives the Tone Pro range a clear starting stage. Keep it as a deep overall tone, or build upon it with the four lighter shades to create a controlled progression towards Ultramar Blue 5.
