For the darker side of the Shalaxi Violet progression, Shalaxi Violet 2 provides the second-deepest stage in the Tone Pro sequence. It sits above the darkest Shade 1 while remaining below the brighter Shades 3, 4 and 5, giving you a controlled step for developing depth before moving into lighter tones.
Tone Pro paints are characterised by intense colours and strong one-coat coverage, including shades that may normally require more careful handling. Shalaxi Violet 2 can be applied straight from the pot, with its self-levelling properties helping to create an even and consistent finish across the miniature.
Each colour follows a clear five-stage system: Shade 1 is the darkest and Shade 5 is the lightest. Shade 2 therefore works close to the deepest end of the sequence. Use it after Shade 1 to begin increasing brightness gradually, or make it the dominant tone when you want the finished scheme to retain a darker violet character.
Its formulation can serve several purposes throughout a painting session:
Shalaxi Violet 2 provides a dependable darker stage for building the rest of the colour progression. Pair it with Shade 1 for deeper contrast, then work towards Shades 3, 4 and 5 as you increase brightness. Alternatively, combine it with only a few neighbouring tones for a shorter workflow while retaining clear differences between light and shadow.
