Hive Fleet Purple 1 (12ML)

Tone Pro paints are designed around intense colours and strong coverage, even when working with shades that can normally be more challenging to apply. Hive Fleet Purple 1 can be used straight from the pot, while its self-levelling properties help the paint settle into an even finish across the miniature.

The system keeps the progression straightforward: each colour is divided into five shades, with 1 being the darkest and 5 the lightest. Shade 1 therefore forms the deepest stage of the Hive Fleet Purple sequence. Build upwards from it through Shades 2, 3, 4 and 5 to create a gradual increase in brightness, or keep Shade 1 as the main tone when working towards a darker overall result.

Its versatility also extends beyond simply establishing a base colour. The same Tone Pro paint can be used for several different techniques:

• Basecoating to establish the main colour across a surface
• Shading to reinforce depth and recessed areas
• Glazing for subtle colour adjustments and transitions
• Highlighting selected areas and raised forms
• Drybrushing to pick out sculpted texture and relief

As the darkest stage of the Hive Fleet Purple progression, Hive Fleet Purple 1 gives the colour sequence its foundation. Use it on its own for a deep finish, or combine it with the remaining four shades to build a complete progression from shadow to light while keeping the same colour identity throughout the miniature.
