Nords: Ugr

‘The Ugr occupy a very strange place in Nordic society. They are the exalted offspring of the demigods, capable of doing the work of a dozen men and terrifying enemies when driven to anger. On the other hand, it's hard to remain in awe of a being who is confronted with numbers beyond a single digit, simple concepts such as personal hygiene, or even the baffling mechanisms of doors, so to speak.

 Whatever the case, the Ugr are a considerable asset to the community to which they are assigned, a fact that Einherjar Angbjörn, High King of Mannheim and Father of the Ogres, exploits to maintain the balance of power with a profound cunning that you wouldn't expect from his portly figure and constant inebriation. After all, there are few creatures on Eä who will not pause to reflect on any rash action, when faced with the stubborn and determined aggression of a band of Ugr.’
