GreenStuffWorld synthetic brushes are handmade. They are very similar to natural bristle brushes, but are better suited to less experienced painters or techniques requiring less watery mediums.
They are excellent for single-stroke techniques and, in general, for any other technique requiring the application of thin paint. On the other hand, synthetic brushes are less suited to very diluted media. For these techniques, it is preferable to use Kolinsky brushes with natural bristles.
Synthetic brushes require less maintenance to maintain their shape than natural brushes. They absorb less water and paint, making them less suitable for washing techniques, enamels, inks and gradients.
To prolong the life of your brushes, we recommend reshaping the bristles after each use and preventing the paint from drying between the bristles. After use, leave them resting with the tip upwards to avoid any deformation. Good maintenance will ensure that your brushes last a long time.
Flat brushes are useful for mixing and blending, creating rust and dirt effects. The synthetic fibres are designed to withstand the toughest paint products.
