High-Quality Lacquer-Based Paint – US Desert Tone: This precision lacquer paint features an advanced chemical formula and superior color accuracy compared to other brands on the market. Designed for professional use, it sprays smoothly through an airbrush, adheres perfectly to the surface, and dries to a soft, even finish.
Durable and fully compatible with all types of weathering products, it’s ideal for serious modelers. The paint can be thinned with RC701/RC702 High Compatibility Thinner or other thinners formulated for lacquer-based paints, ensuring smooth application and excellent finish control.
This color has seen extensive use in military camouflage schemes, including the US Army’s MERDC “Red Desert” pattern. It was also used in ad-hoc desert schemes applied to some USMC helicopters during the 1990–1991 Gulf War, as well as on US Navy aggressor aircraft such as the F-5E and F/A-18A & B. Additionally, it’s a close match to one of the shades available for disruptive camouflage on US Army vehicles during World War II.
