M5 Stuart

The main difference between the M5 and the popular M3 was its Cadillac engine. It also benefited from an improved armor layout; in the M5A1 version, the lower hull casting was now up to 64mm thick in places. Other improvements include wider access hatches, more interior space for the crew and ammunition storage. The 37mm gun was unable to penetrate late-war German tanks but was still effective against lighter vehicles, and with up to three machine guns, the M5 was highly effective in the reconnaissance role for which it was designed.

In Bolt Action games, the M5/M5A1 is a light tank (Damage Value 8+), with Reinforced Front Armour and can take the Recce special rule. The E7-7 is a light tank with a flamethrower and coaxial MMG. Both can be included in Armoured Platoons.
