For best results, prepare your modeling compound thoroughly according to the manufacturer's guidelines. Flatten it evenly over your working area and smooth it with a flat roller before applying the textured one. Depending on the type of putty or clay, you may need to slightly moisten the roller to avoid sticking. Roll slowly and apply uniform pressure to achieve consistent textures. After the material has partially cured, trim any excess for a clean, professional finish.

This roller is compatible with various materials including polymer clays (Fimo, Super Sculpey), epoxy putties (Green Stuff, Milliput), and air-drying modeling pastes. Polymer clay can be textured directly on MDF bases and baked at 150°C for 15 minutes. Epoxy putties require no baking but may benefit from lubrication using water, talcum powder, or modeling vaseline to reduce stickiness. Milliput works especially well when mixed 50/50 with children’s modeling clay. Always clean the roller thoroughly after use with water and a fine brush. Not a toy—this is a sculpting tool and should only be used under adult supervision.
