French Light Cavalry Brigade

Few sights on a Napoleonic battlefield were more impressive than massed French light cavalry in full array. The green-clad Chasseurs à Cheval and flamboyantly dressed Hussars carried out scouting, screening, and outpost duties before the main battle began.

Among the most feared units were the line lancers, armed with deadly nine-foot ash lances capable of devastating enemy formations during cavalry charges.

Supporting the brigade is a fast-moving 6-pounder horse artillery battery crewed by experienced veteran gunners able to keep pace with the cavalry advance.
