The Admiralty has issued a fleet-wide advisory urging all commanders to exercise extreme caution following a surge in reported sightings of Anode. Once considered an isolated anomaly, this phenomenon now appears to be spreading across multiple conflict zones, challenging established threat assessments.
Nicknamed “The Melter”, this lone Bioficer vessel has earned its reputation by ambushing significantly larger opponents, consistently exploiting their overconfidence. Despite its relatively small profile, it delivers disproportionately devastating strikes, making every engagement a high-risk encounter.
Originally classified as an unusual Bioficer configuration, Anode has since been re-evaluated as exhibiting a form of aggressive, albeit unsophisticated, operational intelligence. Refitted to match the mass of a heavy destroyer and equipped with an enhanced power matrix, the vessel is now centred entirely around a single prow-mounted weapon system: the Themator Cage.
This short-range weapon is capable of delivering damage output comparable to a battleship-class strike, compensating for its limited engagement range with overwhelming destructive force. Although the original vessel was confirmed destroyed by the UCMS Gaugamela above Olympus in 2679, identical sightings have since re-emerged, suggesting replication or dispersal of the design.
The Admiralty now considers the possibility that Anode may operate in multiple instances simultaneously, significantly complicating strategic planning and increasing the risk associated with any confirmed contact.
A highly unpredictable spacefaring threat designed to disrupt strategic assumptions and dominate engagements through overwhelming close-range firepower.
