Gnarlwood 1 is the darkest shade in this colour sequence from the Tone Pro range. Each colour is available in five numbered tones, progressing from 1, the darkest, to 5, the lightest. This structured selection makes it easier to choose complementary shades and build contrast or light transitions across your miniatures.

Tone Pro paints stand out for their intense colours and strong coverage, even with shades that can traditionally be challenging to apply evenly. Used straight from the pot, the paint's self-levelling properties help produce a smooth, consistent finish, delivering substantial coverage in a single coat.

The updated formula is designed to do more than provide a solid base colour. The same paint can be used for several stages of miniature painting, from basecoating and shading to highlighting and drybrushing. It can also be used for glazing, depending on the effect you want to achieve.
